***SOLD***
Very rare Hawaiian guitar built by Chris Knutsen in ca 1915. Dating a Knutsen correctly is very difficult because every model built by him is different.
But this guitar has the 1542 Temple Street address where Knutsen first lived in Los Angeles in the mid 1910's. It was owned by an assistant of Chris Knutsen.
The woods are spruce top, Douglas fir headstock, and Koa back and sides. These old and perfectly aged woods provide a tonality that simply cannot be reproduced. Tuners are original and still doing their job very fine.
The instrument is in very good condition and has a beautiful projection. Some minor cracks which are repaired and won't be any problem.
Check the detail photos of the Knutsen here.
